An eye bolt is one of the most familiar hardware items in material handling. It consists of a threaded shank with a ring/eye at one end. Eye bolts are threaded to structures such as wood or steel posts and often supported by a nut. They are designed to have a rope or cable fed through the ring in order to lift objects.

U Bolt, Plate and Nuts or U Bolt, Washer and Nuts are used to provide a clamping force to hold two components together and are often used in pipework, roofwork and foundation stability. U-bolts are measured based on the screw thread length, inside diameter, inside height and thread size.

Current standard sizes for U Bolt with plate and nuts:

6 x 30;
6 x 40;
8 x 30;
8 x 40;
8 x 50;
8 x 65

Current standard sizes for U Bolt with washer and nuts:

10 x 60;
10 x 90

Other sizes can be supplied on requested, but will require a lead time to allow for manufacture.


Threaded rods are long rods that have threads along the length and can be used in applications where a certain length bolt is not available.
